"Health Care Reform" - Alicia Scalzo Wilmoth, JD, Benefits Counsel, Employee Benefits Division at Kibble & Prentice, a USI Company

In this Health Care Reform seminar, we will focus on changes that will impact the employer-sponsored group health plans over the coming years.

Our review will include:

  • 2010/2011 Renewal Implications - How program renewals may be impacted by Reform, and understanding what elements of renewal are driven by Reform.  This includes required plan design changes as well as discussing changes that will affect Health FSAs, HRAs and HSAs and new W-2 reporting requirements
  • Future Planning - 2012 and beyond:
  • 2012 - New Benefit Summary
  • 2013 - Cap on the Health FSA, Increased Medicare Tax and New Fee on Group Health Plans
  • 2014 - Exchanges, Individual Mandate, New Employer Requirements including Penalties, Vouchers and Automatic Enrollment, and additional Benefit Design Changes
  • 2018 - High Cost Plan Excise Tax

With deadlines looming and regulations still in development, we will review the known details and lay out what you need to consider as you plan your upcoming renewal and look strategically into the future.
